MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: OCTOBER 3-9, 2016!
Getting back into my cookin’ routine, loitering in the art library, my cousin Natalee visits me at the Getty, and a DEEEEP clean and massive declutter, followed by my first ever Dungeons & Dragons experience.
Enjoy!

Gotta rebond with Glenn the gecko after every trip

The Cave Temples tent is gone! So weird to see this space empty

The new alchemy show is getting installed

Camping out, scopin’ the scene for a timelapse shoot with Tristan

The light is just amazing in this room

Grocery shopping at the Japanese market

Kiki’s boyfriend moved out from Chicago to LA! And they moved into this cutie ass apartment. I’m busting over to absorb their space. Tonight? Wine and Game of Thrones

Today is #AskanArchivist Day. We’re in the GRI (art library) with a bunch of awesome archivists answering internet questions.

Miso soup, tofu, radish for lunch

Munch munch on my stinky Japanese radish

Meeting a friend from college at the Mandrake

Morning! Double layers, it’s getting a little chilly

My cousin Natalee who lives up in the Bay Area was down here for a job interview and she came to the Getty!

^___^ Hapa cousins and Van Gogh

Making more of the easy and delicious soon tofu from the BCD kit and gyoza

Fell asleep on the couch cuddled with Tweedy

After so many weeks on the road and traveling, I wanted nothing more than to declutter and clear out my closet and kitchen and bathroom.

I emptied out everything and only put back clothes that I genuinely wear and like and had to make some tough cuts.

Zach was helping me by cleaning the kitchen. Break for leftovers.

Old volcano…what happens if I put water in it?

Reorganized closet – I moved all my shirts to be hung up so I don’t lose them in the drawers and not wear them.

Decluttering a lot of old toiletries

Had to toss this 3 year old metal rod that holds shower supplies. It was getting rusty and making the whole tub gross

Goodbye to all these clothes. *Whew*

Out to Hollywood, saw a cute lil’ gutter raccoon family

Saw a back to back comedy shows at Second City

The next day got back to focusing on continuing to declutter and clean

Reorganized the spice area – now there are little drawer thinggies!

Marie came over and we both got a bit of work done

Made more soup for Marie to try, and some shishito peppers

James came over and brought some wiiiings

Tonight, James is our dungeon master. OUR FIRST DUNGEONS & DRAGONS CAMPAIGN!!!!!

There’s me, represented by Gimli, a hilldwarf named Hlin Hilldwarf. Was tempted to call myself Sarah Hilldwarf.

Our first D&D night lasted about 6 hours…it was a blast. Highly recommend.

Needed to use my avocados, so why not make a big scramble

Surprise! He was in the volcano.

Nearly done in the kitchen with the deep clean/reorg.

Kiki came over for popcorn, wine, and the Presidential Debate.
Much love friends.
